Talk us through a typical day in the life of Prudence Richardson:
Everyone says this, but every day IS different. I work full time as the Brand Director for DISSH. I feel incredibly grateful to be able to say I am in my dream role for my dream brand. I want to say that I’m a morning person, but I’m not. I’m up, straight into a home-made long black while I race around getting ready before heading to work (I’m working on this, I swear). Every day at work is different, it’s the nature of my role and the business, but it is consistently fuelled by creativity and is equally challenging and exciting (alongside a pretty incredible bunch of people). I’m back home to the boys (my husband and our dog) for a night in at home (my favourite space) to relax and wind down.

Biggest work milestone so far?
Honestly, feeling content and fulfilled in what I am doing feels like my biggest milestone – enjoying what I do for work is a huge privilege! A few milestone moments would have to be the journey of and the evolution of the brand these last few years, hosting our first showroom in New York last year, and our tour de Australia of campaign shoots in beautiful places around the country!

What keeps you inspired?
Travelling, and also time spent doing nothing. Sounds like two extremes haha? Travelling provides me with the reinvigoration needed, getting out of the day-to-day, and the endless stream of inspiration that comes from that—exploring new places and meeting new people. Then equally important, quietness! I need time of nothingness to be creative. It is so important for me to give myself the space to be creative, otherwise there’s 100 tabs and a monkey banging cymbals in my mind. I’m also an avid Pinterest-user, a good place to start for inspiration if you’re feeling stuck or want to find yourself in a blackhole of endless ideas.
Palermo Side Table, Stainless Steel
Three style tips you live by:
Tidy space, tidy mind for sure comes into my styling at home (she can’t deal with clutter). This forces me to be so intentional and thoughtful with every new addition, it needs a place and purpose (apart from the odd spontaneous purchase). As I am a neutral girl, I like to add interest with layering, contrasting materials and textures, and use smaller styling items and florals to bring in pops of colour and intrigue.
Must-have pieces from our collection?
Can I say all of the stainless steel pieces?? I’m (clearly) having a chrome moment. Then the Cookie Rosa Levanto side tables, consoles, everything. I am obsessed with this colourway. It is SO SEXY?! Who knew. I love it paired back with walnut and chocolate tones.
