KATE BUCCERI

TASTEMAKER SERIES

We spoke to Kate Bucceri, Mum, Wife and Luxury Communications Director about life by the beach, her home and what's inspiring her right now.

Talk us through a typical day in your life.

A typical day for me is waking up at the crack of dawn by my 4-year-old and quickly after by my 2-year-old. I have always been a morning person, even before kids, thank goodness. My husband, bless him, always makes coffee for me and we all have a fun moment in bed together taking about our day, watching the news, and reading books. We joke that it makes our mornings a good 30 minutes slower, but I cherish this time too much.

Afterwards we typically have breakfast at home, followed by a walk down to our beach at Freshwater. In my opinion Freshwater is the most beautiful beach in Sydney and I love that it is a short walk from our house. We spend a lot of time on or near the beach each weekend. Typically, we will have coffee, croissants, and pop in and out of the water. My type of heaven.

Around lunch time we head home so my little one can have his nap. This is our downtime for the day where we attempt to sit down and enjoy each other’s company at home. I love to open my house and let the breeze come through. This always makes me so happy!

Late afternoon are usually friends over, drinks on the back deck watching the kids play and early dinners at home. I don’t go out that much anymore, which is why I cherish my home so much. I hope we have created an environment that makes everyone feel at home but still special. Our little slice of heaven!

Abstract Bench in Green Onyx

What makes your space truly feel like home?

The noise, activity and my family.

What inspires you?

Sounds cliché, but honestly everything. I can get inspired by Instagram, by travel, by an old magazine, by a friend’s house. But I am very specific with what I like – when I see something I am incredibly decisive.

What is your must-have piece from our collection?

Definitely my new Abstract Bench in Green Onyx, truly a piece of art! I had been manifesting it for months!
